The Despoilers are a newly formed covers band based in Horsforth, Leeds, playing a real mixture of classics from 60's through to current favourites.

The seeds of the band were originally sown in January 2009, when a group of friends got together to play a show for a friend’s 25th Wedding Anniversary. Unfortunately the set was well received and it was decided to form a band. Thanks Chris and Jayne! Everyone had retired from bands to settled down and concentrate on day jobs, family commitments, with just the occasional indiscretion and its now cost us all a small fortune for equipment. Not to mention all the lost Brownie Points. Well one or two of us might have had some to lose?

The band played a couple of gigs with various stand-in Drummers and without a dedicated vocalist, with Mark Steele taking on the majority of the vocals.

Dave Collins joined the band on drums in January 2010 and the line up was complete when Frontman Tim Weatherhead, joined in February 2010.
